Its the oldest festival in Ireland and is held on the 10th, 11th and 12th of August. A goat is crowned King Puck and honoured in the centre of town for these 3 days. Killorglin is jam packed with free entertainment such as open air evening concerts and street entertainment. Guaire House is a family run B&B Situated in a quite location 5 minutes walking distance from town centre bus and train station. There are many wonderful scenic walks by the lake side as well as cycle paths, boat tours also can be booked. Muckross House & Gardens, Ross Castle and the Gap of Dunloe are favourite attractions in Killarney. The town has some excellent restaurants & pubs with traditional Irish music.
